Australian Shepherd Breeders, Mornington Peninsula VIC

We have owned Australian Shepherds now for 15 years and are very excited to be breeding these wonderful dogs. We are a small breeder with maximum of only one litter per year which means our dogs and puppies are brought up as part of the family. They have a great life here on our 5 acres on the Mornington Peninsula, with Horses, cats, chickens, lots of visitors and other dogs and horses coming to visit. We are always glad to help and advise and have get togethers where all our Skyepark families are welcome. Our aim is to breed for health and temperament with our puppies going to new owners, already socialised, confident and independent, easily trained and able to adapt to new environments. A lot of time, effort and love is spent with them, giving their new owners a good steady foundation on which to continue their training into whatever discipline they choose.

We discovered this breed when we bought and fell in love with our first Aussie 12 years ago. Ever since then we wanted to explore and find out more about the breed. What stands out for us the most is that every Aussie is unique. They are loyal and affectionate dogs to the people they are most bonded with. They do best with plenty of human companionship: they are often called "Velcro dogs" for their strong desire to always be near their owners and for their tendency to form intense, devoted bonds with select people. Aussies have very keen minds and sharp observation skills, always looking for patterns and reading your every mood. With good training they can become a highly skilled dog. We aim to produce dogs of a high standard for families who are looking for their next best friend. They will also be suited to herding and agility. Our dogs are part of our family and are always by our side. Our puppies will be well socialised and around children and adults of all ages. All of our puppies will be health tested and will be on the limited registry with papers. Warning! Once you own an Aussie you will be hooked! If you are interested in securing a pup please keep an eye out for planned litters. We do not take a waiting list but we require an application with information about you and your reasons for wanting an Aussie.
