We are a small breeder with maximum of only one litter per year which means our dogs and puppies are brought up as part of the family. They have a great life here on our 5 acres on the Mornington Peninsula, with Horses, cats, chickens, lots of visitors and other dogs and horses coming to visit. We are always glad to help and advise and have get togethers where all our Skyepark families are welcome. Our aim is to breed for health and temperament with our puppies going to new owners, already socialised, confident and independent, easily trained and able to adapt to new environments. A lot of time, effort and love is spent with them, giving their new owners a good steady foundation on which to continue their training into whatever discipline they choose.

We only breed from Aussies who have full vet checks, DNA tested, excellent hip and elbow scores, brilliant temperaments and are truly representative of this wonderful breed. Our dogs are companions and much loved best friends! We place a number of our dogs in family homes until they are used for breeding to allow them to do what they do best, be family pets. They come home to us for whelping in a safe environment. Our dogs are allowed to be dogs, run in parks, join in playdates, swim at the beach and be loved by children and their foster families. Aussies need the stimulation that large open spaces provide and the socialisation that comes with various external stimuli. Our dogs interact, not just with other dogs and their immediate foster family, but also with other children, the elderly, the community and extended family in those environments. Many of our dogs have gone on to become government approved assistance dogs working in nursing homes and with special needs adults and children. We are understandably proud of our focus on temperament. We do not support early desexing of puppies due to the inherent physical problems that creates. (see current literature on our facebook page). We discovered this breed when we bought and fell in love with our first Aussie 12 years ago. Ever since then we wanted to explore and find out more about the breed. What stands out for us the most is that every Aussie is unique. They are loyal and affectionate dogs to the people they are most bonded with. They do best with plenty of human companionship: they are often called "Velcro dogs" for their strong desire to always be near their owners and for their tendency to form intense, devoted bonds with select people. Aussies have very keen minds and sharp observation skills, always looking for patterns and reading your every mood. With good training they can become a highly skilled dog. We aim to produce dogs of a high standard for families who are looking for their next best friend. They will also be suited to herding and agility. Our dogs are part of our family and are always by our side. Our puppies will be well socialised and around children and adults of all ages. All of our puppies will be health tested and will be on the limited registry with papers. Warning! Once you own an Aussie you will be hooked! If you are interested in securing a pup please keep an eye out for planned litters. We do not take a waiting list but we require an application with information about you and your reasons for wanting an Aussie.
