At Mossleigh we believe in preserving and promoting this rare and wonderful breed, through careful selection of genetics and pedigrees, with a strong focus on structure, temperament, soundness and remaining true to the breed standard. At Mossleigh, while conformation showing is important with all our dogs achieving their Championship status, performance is our passion and our dogs have proven worthy ambassadors of the breed in a multitude of performance disciplines. We are proud of the fact that that we have achieved the highest level of Rally and Tricks titles for Field Spaniels in Australia. Our dogs are competitive in a range of sports including SprintDog TM, Lure coursing (now lure pursuit), Obedience, Rally, Scentwork and Tricks. Retrieving and tracking are also on the agenda for 2026. Our mission is to preserve the unique traits of the Field Spaniel—its calm demeanour, endurance, and affectionate spirit while promoting responsible ownership and lifelong well-being. All our dogs are hip and elbow scored, eyes tested and echocardiograms undertaken.
