Labrador Silver Coat Colour Warning - The National Labrador Retriever Breed Council (Australia) has issued a position statement for the Silver (or Platinum / Charcoal) Coat Colour. The Labrador only has 3 recognised colours - (Black, Yellow and Liver/Chocolate).

We are a small kennel situated approximately 1.5 hour's drive North of Auckland,on a 57 acre lifestyle block in Te Arai. My aim is to breed quality yellow [with a special interest in the FOX RED shade], black , and occasionally chocolate labrador puppies that are true to type, genetically sound and impeccably natured. All breeding stock are hip and elbow x rayed and have annual eye checks. They are all also DNA tested for EIC and PRA., HNPK, MCD, CNM, Dilute gene and Long Coat Gene. Although I do exhibit my dogs in the showring, my favorite times are spent on daily off lead walks over the farm and at local beaches, watching their natural antics. I welcome enquiries from anyone wanting to know more about the breed, my kennels,stud dogs or Ashdale puppy ownership. My family of labradors can be viewed on my website. Founder member of the NZ Kennel Club's Accredited Breeder Scheme. JANCERIE LABRADORS are very typically English Labradors, & bred to meet the original British breed standard. I was very fortunate to be able to purchase my foundation breeding dogs from the top UK kennels (including the world renowned Sandylands & Rocheby), and I strive to continue the very high standards that they have attained. As the health & welfare of my dogs & the puppies I produce is of paramount importance, all of my breeding dogs have extensive health tests, including Hip & Elbow X-Rays, DNA screening & annual eye examinations. My dogs are very much a part of my family. They live a carefree life, have a happy disposition and 100% reliable temperament. My breeding girls are given ample time to rest after having a litter of puppies & will not be bred before 2 years of age or after 7. When they retire from breeding, my senior ladies have a permanent retirement home here at Jancerie & continue to be much loved pets. All Jancerie puppies are very well socialised with both humans & other dogs. When they leave me at 8 weeks of age, they are happy, healthy, confident & ready to join their new families. All puppies are registered with NZKC (now Dogs NZ) on the full register, and are endorsed Not to be bred from. We currently have 8 adorable yellow puppies, 3 boys and 5 girls looking for new homes, Born 2nd March from Ethel Maude (NZ CH Maktawae Single Pringle) and Breaker (Kyeburn Power House) both are yellow, and will be Vet checked and have had their first vaccinations and be ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. Both parents are health tested and hip and elbow scored. Puppies have lovely temperaments and are well socialized with children and other dogs. We are based in the Auckland north shore area.
