We are a small kennel situated in Manaia, Taranaki. Labradors have always been a part of our lives. We appreciate everything about a Labrador that makes it a Labrador. All of our dogs are part of our lives and we love their devotion, companionship and enthusiasm for all the simple things. We bred our first registered litter under the Targun kennel name in 1987. Over the years we have used our Labradors for duck hunting, training and showing. Our aim will always be to breed beautiful Labradors with great temperaments that are sound, happy and healthy. The health and welfare of our dogs and the puppies we produce is extremely important to us. All of our breeding dogs have extensive health tests, including Hip and Elbow X-Rays, DNA screening and Annual Eye Examinations. Our pups are raised in a home environment and are accustomed to everyday activities and visitors to ensure that they are well socialised and confident when they are ready to go to their new homes. Puppies occasionally available to approved homes. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to come and meet all of our dogs, by appointment.
