Sykesville kennels does not have any breedings planned for 2026 or 2027. I am proud to have taken over the Sykesville Kennel name after the passing of my grandfather, who established this kennel name in 1973. My grandfathers passion was producing labradors with a strong retrieve drive and the ability to work all day, as well as being loyal family pets. My Grandfather bred a FTCH which was a big achievement for him. I hope to carry on his legacy and will continue to breed true to type Labrador Retrievers. My aim is to create the ultimate dual purpose Labrador, one that is out retrieving during the day and laying by the fire with the kids at night. The ultimate goal for us is to provide families with a Labrador that is sound in body and mind. Health and temperament is forefront of our breeding decisions. Our dogs are given the best lives possible, we live on a sheep & beef farm in north Taranaki. Our dogs live a active lifestyle and are used to retrieve game birds and possums.
