We are a small kennel breeding for temperament and working ability. Both Kate and I are actively involved in the dog world as retrieving trial competitors and judges of retrieving trials to Championship level and retrieving ability tests. We have been actively breeding Labrador Retrievers for over 20 years. Many of our dogs and bitches have fifteen or more generations of selection for game drive, prey drive and biddability. Our dogs and bitches are used widely in retrieving, obedience and tracking trials. We are also working with an organisation in breeding and training dogs for service and therapy for people with a wide range of disabilities. These dogs are trained for autism therapy, epilepsy alert, aspergers syndrome therapy, post traumatic stress disorder therapy, age home service, legal court service, alziemers disease service and diabetes alert dogs.. All of our breeding dogs and bitches are tested for hip dysplasia and OCD and we aim to breed pups with hip and elbow scores better than the breed average. All of our breeding dogs and bitches are genetically profiled for the full range of diseases and traits for which genetic markers are available for the Labrador Retriever breed. I have been breeding labs for 19 years. I currently have three labradors -, Momo, Cherie and Leif I also live with my two daughters, Ellysia 14 and Arienna 11. We live in Harcourt and also have ponies, goats, alpaca and cats. We have a busy, yet generally peaceful lifestyle until puppy time! We breed only 1-2 litters each year, so manage to love and enjoy each litter that we have. Then comes time for our puppies to go out into the big wide world. She adores the kids and enjoys her days running around the farm. Rosie was shown when younger but with covid hitting we didn’t get her out as much as we liked.
