Labrador Silver Coat Colour Warning - The National Labrador Retriever Breed Council (Australia) has issued a position statement for the Silver (or Platinum / Charcoal) Coat Colour. The Labrador only has 3 recognised colours - (Black, Yellow and Liver/Chocolate).

All our breeding dogs are fully health tested, including Hip & Elbow X-Rays, DNA screening & the required eye examinations. All puppies are registered with Dogs New Zealand (formerly NZKC). Our kennel was established in 1997 with the arrival of Tosca, our first yellow Labrador bitch, soon followed by Paris, a chocolate bitch. However all our current Labradors are going back to Gaby (NZ CH Blackboy Gabriella) who was imported in 2005 from Western Australia Our Labradors are well socialised and travel with us in our off road caravan throughout the whole country. Loving the beaches, walks and exploring remote townships. Our breeding Labradors have good hips and elbow scores and are DNA tested for PRA, EIC, HNPK, CM, DM, Cysturia and Dilute colour gene. They hold current eye certificates. We have imported frozen semen from the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, Finland and the USA to improve the genetic pool in NZ We are showing our Labradors, mainly at the Lower North Island championship shows and the Labrador speciality shows. Currently we are breeding black and yellow puppies with an occasional chocolate litter. We occasionally have older dogs available for re-homing to approved homes.
