As a former corrections officer in a supermax security facility in the United States, I worked with various breeds. When I came to Australia and traveled for work in the security industry, I would leave my wife, who is a doctor, home alone. So I chose the Rottweiler because I wanted a loyal, intelligent, easily trainable dog to be her guardian and companion. I was fortunate enough to find a highly intelligent working line Rottweiler, who is just as physically suited to military and police work and still take to shops, festivals and beach during the day, and be a couch potato and cuddle bug while watching tv at night. Our boy Hunter is trim and muscular with a regal presence. He has a large proportionate and handsome head, athletic body and drive.
