Merinschnauz is based near Warwick in South East Qld, our pups are raised in our home and our dogs live normal family pet lives and enjoy various outings. Our ethics are centered on having respect and responsibility for all the animals that we breed, we choose to bring them into this world and we are responsible for making sure they will have the best possible life. To ensure we are breeding the healthiest possible Miniature Schnauzers we use genetic testing, researching our dogs ancestral history and we do not support inbreeding practices. Our goal is to increase genetic diversity and general long term heath of the dogs we breed. We are committed to ongoing training and learning about our dogs health, behaviours and nutritional requirements - we make decisions for them, they need to be good ones. We work very hard in the eight plus weeks that the puppies are with us, socializing with other dogs and people, toilet and crate training as well as general manners with humans and their litter mates. Potential families must be prepared to have phone or face to face conversations with us and build a strong relationship around communication, we will not respond to messages or texts. We offer extensive support to our puppy families both at hand-over and after the puppy goes home, particularly around training and nutrition. If at an any time in that puppies life the family are unable to keep their pup, it can be returned to us.
