I have given considerable amount of thought and effort to take on this venture of breeding Smooth Haired Miniature Dachshunds. At present we own one female Black and Tan known as Daisy and one Chocolate and Tan male known as Oliver. We are excited and enthusiastic to aim to breed beautiful dogs in the near future. Basito Miniature Dachshunds are a small, family run kennel in Sydney. Our main focus is to strive to improve on health and temperament with our focus being on diet,socialisation and wellbeing. First and foremost we are passionate about this particular breed, we love to promote the miniature dachshund as a loving, loyal companion for a variety of people and their unique family structure. My introduction of long hair miniature dachshunds into my family came about a few years ago when I purchased my first long haired red girl, Poppy. Poppy’s temperament is a genuine, loving, sweet nature, she is very adaptable to her surroundings, happily embracing being out on social walks as well as being just as content to spend the afternoon on our laps just taking in the days with us. I find the temperament of the long haired dachshunds to be well suited to an older owner as well as a first time dachshund owner. Poppy has blessed us with 5 beautiful red puppies for her first litter, they are all happy, healthy and thriving at 5 weeks old ( 29Febuary 2024). There are 2 beautiful boys within the litter that are searching for a forever family. Please feel free to contact me by phone if you feel you are ready to welcome a new family member into your home. As I begin my journey as a Miniature Dachshund breeder it is with excitement and happiness as I feel I have given this decision great thought and consideration. I am absolutely in love with this delightful, loving, loyal breed. I run a small home based kennel and my dogs are very much a part of our family life. I aim to breed beautiful dogs of good temperament, true to the standard. Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired) Puppies - Litter Listing

I currently have a litter of smooth haired miniature dachshunds, they are 9 weeks old , within the litter there is 1 shaded red girl that is now available to a loving pet home. Holly is looking for a family that can be mostly around with her, a happy, outgoing little girl, she will thrive in a home where she can be around her people and I’m sure if there’s already another dog in the home she will love the company. Holly is up to date with her vaccination, she has been microchipped and is well on the way to learning the basics of toilet training. I’ve started introducing crate training as well as socialisation with people, older dogs, new environments. My puppies are raised in my home. Breeder's Notes

My puppies go home in their own little soft crate that I start crate training them in while they are with me. I have had great feedback from previous litter families that the puppies have been settled and at ease with their night time routine. I put a snuggle sack in the crate which dachshunds love as they can burrow in it and along with their crate the puppies also go home with some toys, food and treats. Worming, vaccinations and microchipping will be all up to date and the puppies undergo a health check with my vet and recieve a record of that.

Breeder's Notes

I include a small crate, snuggle sack, harness, lead, food bowl, treats. Your puppy will be crate trained and well on the way to being toilet trained at the time of going home.
