About This Breeder

Chanpema Kennels was established in 1995 with our first Labrador CH ELORAC BORIS BROWN (Boris) from ELORAC Kennels. He became the first chocolate Labrador to gain his show title here in South Australia. Since then we have breed our own Labradors under the CHANPEMA prefix, as well as bringing in other dogs from several kennels to establish our lines. Chanpema Kennels X-ray Hips and elbows of all breeding stock and eyes are tested. At Chanpema Kennels we believe in breeding Quality not Quantity.

Chanpema Kennels was established in 1995 with our first Labrador CH ELORAC BORIS BROWN (Boris) from ELORAC Kennels. In 2004 We introduced the Border Terrier after falling in love with their personalities. Apamura Ralph Lauren was then introduced to our Kennels, sine this time we have been successful with our Border terriers, making up a Grand champion and several champions. Chanpema Kennels breeds for temperament, soundness and quality. At CHANPEMA kennels we breed for quality not quantity.

Breeders of all three colours of Labrador Retrievers, with a special interest in the chocolate Labradors. All breeding stock are hip and elbow x-rayed and eyes cleared. Breeding for temperament, soundness and quality. At CHANPEMA kennels we breed for quality not quantity. Chanpema Kennels was the #1 kennel for breeders for Labradors in 2008 in SA, and #3 nationally (dogzonline advance breeder competition).
