All puppies that I breed are pedigreed & registered on the main register with Dogs Queensland (Canine Control Council of Queensland). I try to breed from known healthy lines & if I am unsure, I do the necessary health testing of parents to ensure my puppies are happy & healthy. Hopefully leading long, full and robust lives. My puppies are born & raised in my lounge room until they are old enough to experience the outside world. I do not have kennels, my dogs are part of the family. I do live on acreage so when pups are a little older, they then spend their days out in large, safe yards & come in at night for plenty of cuddles & sleep inside. My pups are DNA parentage tested, raised on quality premium Advance dry food & a varied diet. They are always vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped & have been wormed regularly and are treated with heartworm & external parasite prevention before they leave me. I do not desex my puppies before they leave me unless they are over 12 months of age. My own Podengos & those bred by me & owned by others, compete very successfully in the show ring, on the lure coursing field, at SprintDog & Scent Work. I do understand that you only want a beautiful companion dog and may not be interested in either of these pursuits. However, as a breeder, I think that it is important to know that I am breeding to the level that matches the current expectations of the breed standard and it is so much fun to watch this breed excel at what they love to do.
