About This Breeder

Situated in the Southern Highlands, Planhaven has been associated with Newfoundlands since the early sixties. Breeders of over 200 Champions I was fortunate in a good start with the linebred top producing bitch Ch Seamaids Panda. Panda produced 16 Champion offspring. Edenglens Born Free was then imported from the U.S.A. and he and Ch. Planhaven Presto Teddy produced numerous top winning Newfs in that era. In more recent times Schimos One of a Kind(Imp Norway) & Waterbear’s Winner - Mrs Wilson

Planhaven Newfoundlands was started by the late Mrs Frances Wilson in 1966. Frances was a world renown Newfoundland Breeder & exhibitor of her beautiful dogs. She bred over 200 champions and some of the well known dogs were Edenglen Born Free (Imp USA), Planhaven Thunderbay, Planhaven Thunderdome, Planhaven Moon River, Waterbear’s Winner Takes It All to Planhaven (Imp USA) & his son Planhaven Kings Ransom to name but a select few. Planhaven Newfoundlands now lives on under the guidance of Robyn Parkin.
