We have been involved with Golden Retrievers for over 30 years. We are members of the GRCV and UK Golden Retriever Club. We breed for type, temperament and soundness, and Camuka bred dogs have been very successful in many areas, including showing, obedience and some of our puppies are being used as assistance dogs, for children with Autism. We have been dedicated to the beautiful Golden Retriever for over 43 years, with Camuka Kennels established in 1991. • Proud members of Dogs Victoria, the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria and NSW, Ballarat Obedience Club and Victorian Tracking Club. • Jane is a past committee member of the GRCV and a former National Breed Council representative. Our Goldens are more than just show dogs – they are successful in the ring, trained as therapy, assistance, obedience and tracking dogs, and most importantly, they are beloved family companions who share our daily lives. Breeder's Notes

At Camuka, our puppies are raised following the internationally recognised Puppy Culture program. In 2019, we had the privilege of attending a course with Puppy Culture founder Jane Messineo Lindquist, and we quickly realised this approach offers our puppies the very best start in life. Raising our babies is a huge commitment, but it ensures that by the time they leave us at 8–9 weeks, they are confident, resilient, and ready to embrace the outside world. • Puppies are whelped inside our home and remain there for the first 4 weeks. • From birth, they are handled daily with love and care. • At around 3 weeks, they begin gentle exposure to new sights, sounds, and experiences that build a strong foundation for future learning. Every Camuka family receives a copy of Jane’s book: 📖 “A Practical Guide to Buying and Raising a Happy Healthy Golden Retriever Puppy” – a helpful guide through the early months and years of puppyhood. We also provide lifetime support for all our families. Meeting families is very important to us. It allows us to make sure our puppies go to the best homes and helps us match each puppy with the most suitable family. While many of our families are Victorian, we are happy to arrange interstate flights for the right homes.
