You can find us in the scenic northern rivers area of the Far North Coast, NSW, training and breeding healthy schnauzers with champion bloodlines and lovely temperaments. We participate in showing our dogs and other sports including scent work and tracking. Our minis also have generations of clear eye testing with AVA-ANKC Australian Canine Eye Scheme Eye Exam Certificates, unregistered breeders do not… We only breed maybe once a year, to improve or for our next show/trial prospect, which is why we may ask for more than gumtrade. We are also proud of our puppy match-making abilities and our pet puppies are sold under contract on limited register to be desexed, with the “pick of the litter" to be kept for showing and/or offered for a show home with mentoring, we do hope to be approachable for a show home? We always offer to be positive mentors and to bring in and maybe inspire others to also give it a go and do it well. Kind regards, Kim

Here at Heisspur since 2005 our main focus has been Miniature Schnauzers. In 2015 our big old mixed breed rescue boy became a bit deaf, blind & arthritic so we decided to add a Giant Schnauzer to our clan welcoming the beautiful "Kiki". Mentored by old Ringo she is the perfect goofball guard dog. She is a proven show dog quickly becoming an Australian Champion also winning Bitch Challenge at 2017 Sydney Royal. She's also a talented sniffer reaching her Tracking Dog Title with a hat-trick. She has also done some herding and has been a very clever watchdog and guardian of our home and 30 acre property. Owning (or being owned by) any giant breed requires dedication and training. Giant Schnauzers are a very intelligent, friendly happy-go-lucky breed. Here in Australia they are in the Utility Group (Working Dog group in the USA). They were bred over many generations for a purpose, to guard and this is their natural instinct, and in their mind will be their purpose in any environment. They require dedicated training and daily exercise to keep their mind and body active. Also being a double coated breed they require regular grooming. If you are thinking of adding a Giant to your family, it is advised that you do more than just research online. Please phone breeders, go to shows, meet the dogs and spend time with them. They will become a Giant part of your family and you will be their whole world. We owe it to any dog to know what is required to give them a happy whole life
