Kuma is the first (and definitely not the last), Field Spaniel, to join my life! We started showing when Kuma was 7 months old and from there were introduced to a wide number of dog sports! Kuma is extremely versatile, and has a particular love for Lure Coursing, Dryland Sledding (Bikejoring), Scentwork and Tracking!! Kuma was the first field spaniel in Australia to gain in Scentwork Advanced (SWA) Title in 2022!!! In Lure Coursing, Kuma was the second dog in WA to gain her Coursing Ability Advanced Title in 2022!! In September 2024 Kuma became the first CA dog to gain her CAM title in WA! This is also a first for the breed in Australia. And in November 2024 she became the first field spaniel to gain her novice sprint dog title, and in march gain her sprint dog title! December 2024 became the first spaniel in Australia and WA to gain an agility title!! On the way to getting this title she won Heat 3 at the National Agility Titles held in Sydney in July 2024!! Kuma is continuing to enjoy her scentwork journey, gaining her Scentwork Excellent title in August 2025 and also her Scentwork Containers title in August 2025. Kuma is also a certified therapy dog, a credit to both her breed and her breeder, Steph Betts at Dawnus. Looking forward to continuing our sports journey, and will continue to show intermittently to promote this beautiful breed!
