Our first pick of litter from our very first litter of puppies, Valkyrie has already proven to be an excellent pick. She is highly affectionate and people motivated. Beautiful conformation, effortless mover, gorgeous expression and perfect coat. I couldn't be happier with what Artemis and Blizzard produced together. Valkyrie is energetic with a high prey, moderate-high working drive, low defensive drive and excellent off-switch. She is easy to chill at home with, but has the oomph in her as soon as we get to work. Valkyrie is very assertive and confident, a true one in a million dog. Despite her drive, Valkyrie is sensible and in control. Her excellent off switch means she is easy to live with in the house, calm and affectionate around the house and is happy to just chill and cuddle all day. She is safe to leave with our resident cat, and happily lives and plays with small dogs and puppies, giving herself a handicap (laying / rolling over) to ensure a balanced and healthy play. Valkyrie is my first sports dog, as such we are working our way into the sporting world. We have so far thoroughly enjoyed lurecoursing, sprintdog, trick dog and rally-o, and she even had a go at sheep herding where she displayed immense natural talent, loads of drive to herd NOT CHASE the sheep, consistently working to keep the stragglers together and keeping the flock with the handler. She has also shown an immense love of running sports, and we are now working in handler engagement sports like tricks and rally-o Whilst there are those who attempt to bring us down to their level, spreading rumours around the dog show scene about me and my dog despite never laying hands on her, Valkyrie continues to prove herself as an incredible, social and confident dog. My dogs temperament speaks for itself, and I encourage anyone who is inclined to believe these malicious, jealous whispers to come meet my dog themselves. Those in glass houses, should not throw stones.
