Flash earned five Best in Specialty Show titles that year and added a sixth in January 2017 at the Washington State Scottish Terrier Club. Cappy's great grandmother on his maternal side BIS BISS AM GCHG WW 2012 INT CH MEX CH McVan's Be Bop Baby 'Betsy' is a full sister to McVan's To Russia With Love, also known as Knopa, who won Best in Show at Crufts in 2015. Betsy also did well at Crufts in her own right by winning best of breed at the prestigious show. Cappy’s pedigree is rich with accomplished American Grand Champions, both Gold and Silver. He has undergone DNA testing and is clear of vWD III, CMO, and DM. Additionally, he is OFA CHIC certified, which includes certification for Patellar Luxation and underwent an eye examination. Results are available upon request. Cappy earned American Champion status in Augst 2024 and American Grand Champion status in April 2025 to go along with his Canadian Champion status earned in May 2025.
