Zsozsi is our third generation dapple girl came to Australia with us from the UK. She is possibly the only dappled standard smooth in Australia. Her lines are a blend of British, American and European dogs. We originally imported her grandmother, Reba, from Holland in 2014 and later mated her to an American import and kept a son, Otto, who is a silver dapple. Both Reba and Otto did well at the UK shows, with Reba winning a reserve CC at the Great Joint Dachshund Association in 2016, which was a first stud book number for a dappled smooth for many decades. Otto also placed second at Crufts and often won or placed highly at open shows. Zsozsi has only been shown lightly in Australia, but we are planning on mating her in the near future to carry on the dapple legacy in Australia.
