My entry into the purebred dog world began in the obedience ring in 1980 with my first Border Collie.
After showing a friend's Weimaraner in 1981 - the "show bug" had bitten and I went on to purchase a Border Collie to show, the first of many wonderful dogs I have been privileged to own, breed and successfully exhibit.
I have handled many other breeds including: Border Collies, German Shepherd Dogs, Australian Cattle Dogs, Belgian Shepherds (Terveuren & Groenendael), Australian Kelpies, Miniature Schnauzers, Weimaraners, Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Papillons.
I gained my Judge's licence for Working Dogs (Group 5) in 2011, Non Sporting (Group 7) in 2018, Gundogs (Group 3) in 2022 and Toys (Group 1) in 2025.
I am also a Junior Handler judge and Convenor for the DOGS NSW Junior Handler Working Party.
I have judged in Australia and NZ, and have had the pleasure of judging my own breed in Finland. In March 2026 I will have the great honour of judging the Border Collie Club of Great Britain’s 50th Anniversary Championship Show.
