Judge Profile

My experience in the dog world started over fifty years ago with Cavalier King Charles spaniels. Later I had Large Munsterlanders which I had the honor to judge at Crufts in 2005. I first awarded challengers in the late 1980's in the UK and during that time we also owned a GSP! GWP and an Irish Water spaniel.
When we came down to NZ we brought down with us a chocolate Labrador and the last of our Munsterlanders but we did not show either of them.
When I got back into the dog showing world we had a Goldie and another Irish water Spaniel. We then got into Clumber spaniels which we had for nearly ten years. We now have Border Terriers and Norwich Terriers including one we have imported from the famous Ragus kennels in the UK.These have been shown very successfully gaining group and "in show" awards.About eighteen months ago I decided to stop showing and to do just stewarding and my judging thereby giving back to a sport/hobby that has given me so much pleasure over the years.

During my judging career down under I have been lucky enough to do a number of speciality shows including both the Clumber spaniel and Papillion ones in Australia and Cavalier and GSP ones in NZ. These are in addition to the Allbreed champ shows that I have judged at around both countries.
Having now become an "All breeds" judge I look forward to continuing my education in the dog world and to judging some of the amazing dogs that we have the privilege to go over.
