Judge Profile

I was given his first Lhasa Apso by my father in 1981, a bitch bred to the Singtuk line that mostly went back to the old English lines of Hardacre. I quickly got “hooked” on conformation showing, and while this first bitch did not title, I campaigned her mother to her Australian title.
My first male Lhasa was Aust Ch Shira Mad Max, who won very well, winning groups and RUBISs at many major Sydney shows.
I based my breeding on females from my close friend Jenny Longmire, and I have incorporated dogs from other kennels, and imports to Australia.
In 1999 I met my partner, Peter King, and we enjoy the hobby together,
Our small kennel has bred 3 supreme champions, 17 Champions with others approaching their titles. Amongst these are BIS All Breeds winners, Runner BIS AB winners, BIS & RUBIS at both Specialty and semi-specialty shows.
We have also campaigned two Bullmastiff to their titles.
I have been involved in the Lhasa Apso Club of NSW , in many committee positions, and been the president for several years.
In about 2009, I began my judging career and have judge dogs across Australia and on both islands of NZ acieving All Breeds Dog status in 2024.
I have been involved in purebred dogs for 44 of my 68 years. I am now retired after a career in the IT industry
