I’m an ANKC approved All Breeds Judge.

And a fourth-generation participant in the dog show community, with my grandfather, Mr. Victor Jones, serving as a long-time All Breeds International Judge. Inspired by his legacy, I chose to pursue a career in judging, and remarkably, my first two shows were alongside him, where he handled the General Specials. A lot of pressure for any person in my position , trust me on that one!!

I originally only ever wanted to have the Gundog Group but my Grandfather talked me into considering taking on another group after I had my baby. It was good timing as my brother was also studying Terriers (his own breeds being Jack Russell Terriers and Welsh Terriers) so it worked out well that I had someone to study with.

I have had various dog breeds over the years, with Cocker Spaniels (English) and English Setters being the family favorites. We have imported several of both breeds and have successfully owned, shown, and bred numerous top award winners.

I chose to diverge from my family's traditional breeds and pursue my own passion for Golden Retrievers, which led to the establishment of my prefix WYSIWYG. My journey began when I successfully handled a Golden Retriever as a Junior Handler. The first Golden I selected and purchased was a grandson of the dog I had previously shown, and he went on to achieve multiple Best in Show and Group wins.

I took a bold step and I introduced the first American Golden Retrievers to the Australian Show ring.

By challenging conventional beliefs, I have demonstrated that a good dog succeeds based on its qualities and not just its pedigree or ownership. I aspire for this principle to be reflected in my judging as well. My dogs have achieved numerous top awards across Australia, recognised by both local, Australian and international judges.

I’m proud to say as a breeder, WYSIWYG Goldens has been positioned as one of the leading breeders in Australia for several years, and our accomplishments extend further, as we have consistently ranked as having the top Golden Retrievers in both our state and the country for multiple years with several of our dogs.

I enjoy dog showing and I do try to make my judging just as fun and enjoyable for not just myself but for the exhibitors also.

I take great pleasure in dog showing and strive to ensure that my judging is both enjoyable and entertaining for myself and the exhibitors alike. In 2010, I had the distinct honor of judging the Cocker Spaniel Club of SA Inc., a significant privilege given that this breed holds a special place in my family.
In 2023 I was privileged to judge the Golden Retriever Specialty NJ. Then Sporting Dog Best in Group at Trenton USA.

Together with my partner Duncan McAllister, also an All Breeds Judge, we frequently judge events and take pleasure in our shared passion for breeding and showing dogs. However, when we are not engaged in dog shows, we dedicate time to our family and other aspects of life.
