Judge Profile

My Judging career commenced in 2021 with the Non-Sporting Group being a successful exhibitor and breeder of Great Danes, and also owning and exhibiting Mini Smooth Dachshunds.
I commenced my Group 4 training in 2024 and have judged for the Dachshund Club of WA speciality open show.
I started showing dogs over 25 years ago. I attended the Mudgee & District horse show and over the other side of the oval was a dog show. I knew the moment I saw the Great Danes running around the ring that this was my calling. I went home, retired the horse and shortly after brought my first pedigree Great Dane. I moved to Western Australia and attended my first show. From that point on I was hooked. I was very lucky to have been welcomed and educated in Great Danes by Rory and Lynett Booth from “RORLYN Great Danes”. I have since owned, shown and breed Great Danes under the FLAMINDANE prefix with Karl Overing and recently the BORHUNTER prefix.
Grand Ch Rorlyn Guilty As Sin CD (Charger) gave me so much love for the breed and taught me that patience and knowledge can payoff in the show ring. Winning multiple Best In Show awards through his career and to my knowledge is still the only Grand Ch Great Dane to hold an obedience title. It was such an honour when Rory and Lyn wanted to purchase a puppy from us, and they took (Bugsy) Flamindane War Bonnet all the way to Supreme Champion.
I was a committee member / Treasurer of the Great Dane Club of WA for many years until the club folded.

I was introduced to the Mini Smooth Dachshund in 2018 and immediately fell in love with this breed. I currently own 2 Mini Dachshunds and have shown this breed to Championship Titles and In Group / Show awards

Over my showing career I have shown Dobermans, Flat Coated Retrievers, German Shorthaired Pointers and a Chinese Crested. I have worked in the Animal Rescue industry for many years saving thousands of dogs from country pounds from euthaniser and supplied Ranger Services to Local Governments.

I look forward to meeting and judging many beautiful dogs as I progress through the scheme.
