Judge Profile

My life surrounded by dogs started in 1977 with a Yellow Labrador, followed by a Golden Retriever in 1981. I went on to have this breed for over 15 years with involvement not only in the Showring but also Obedience and Tracking fields. In 1998 I purchased my first Cocker Spaniel. I have now had Cockers for 28 years and have shown 29 through to their Australian Championships, 3 through to Grand Championship status and 1 through to his Supreme Title. To date there are 26 Australian Champions under my “Braycharm” prefix. Over the last 20 years I have also enjoyed sharing my home with Whippets and Afghan Hounds. In 2019 I entered the Aspiring Judges program to become a Gundog Judge. Covid interrupted and turned what was to be an 18 month program into almost 4 years. But after much study and hard work I passed my practical examination in October 2022. In 2024 I started study for my Hound Group licence and have recently been granted my licence for this group. Thrilled that I now hold two groups that are close to my heart and I look forward to Judging into the future.
