Judge Profile

I have been involved with Alaskan Malamutes for over 35 years. Koolrunnings Kennels was shortly after founded and now, also established in New Zealand. I am passionate about the show ring and continually strive to improve the breed and make the public aware of the great qualities Alaskan Malamutes have. I have imported 3 dogs from USA & frozen semen from several kennels in USA, Europe and New Zealand. I have exported show dogs to America, China, United Kingdom, South Africa, Japan and New Zealand.

Over 20 years ago I got my first Longcoat Chihuahua and chis continue to be part of our family.

I am a licensed Toys, Terrier, Gundog, Working dogs, Utility and Non Sporting Group judge and trainee Hounds. This makes me eligible in 2026 to now judge BIS. I have judged specialties for Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskys, Boxers, Dalmatians, Toys and Asian breeds. I have judged at group level across Australia, New Zealand at at Palm Springs, CA and Utah USA. Judging engages my mind and my senses, I just love dogs ! it brings me much joy, no right or wrong just my opinion but I strive to judge just dogs. I truly enjoy the ring, exhibitors and dogs.

I have been involved in and handled some of the Top Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Husky’s, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Boxers, Bullmastiff’s, German Pinscher’s, Cairn Terriers and Long Coat Chihuahua’s. I have handled dogs in Australia, New Zealand and USA. And I have bred over 40 Champions with over 70 BIS & BISS wins.

I am on the committee of the Belconnen All Breeds Kennel Club, and a life member of the Canberra Non Sporting Utility & Working Dog club where I held various committee positions. I have regularly presented the Alaskan Malamute breed lecture to the DogsNSW Conformation Judges Training Scheme.

Other interests include walking, cooking, reading and enjoying the NSW South coast beaches with my two children.
