Each of our dogs undergoes comprehensive health screening prior to breeding, including hip and elbow scoring, eye certification, and DNA profiling, ensuring every generation is as sound in body as it is in mind. Wolfreign is a small kennel located in Melbourne, Vic. Our main focus is for the preservation of our beloved Akita breed. We want to ensure that we breed towards the breed standard and also importantly focusing on health and temperament. Coming from a professional dog training background over the last decade, we have owned and worked with Akitas and many other primitive breeds during this time. We wanted to step into the world of breeding to assist in the preservation efforts for the Australian gene pool to breed healthy, sound and typey Akitas. Being only a small kennel, we will only breed with the intention to retain something of quality back for ourselves, so we won't be breeding frequently. We want our future generation dogs to always be better than the previous in all aspects. We also took an extra step and imported two lovely, typey, beautiful natured female Akitas all the way from Russia from reputable, registered breeders. Our girls have been hip/elbow scored with excellent results, clear of PRA and certified by a veterinary eye specialist. Our girls have also had their patellas assessed while under sedation and clear of luxating patellas. We go through a thorough screening process for our potential puppy buyers as we want to ensure only the best, most responsible, committed and suitable homes are available to our Wolfreign pups. We are a small show kennel located in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Our program is focused on (but not limited to); • preservation and ethical breeding. • producing Akita's sound in health, temperament and type. • breeding towards the breed standard. All our Dogs and Bitches intended for our program receive full health testing prior to breeding including; hips, elbows, patellas, eyes and thyroid, as well as being shown in the conformation ring. Being only a small kennel, we only breed with the intention to retain a puppy for our program and to be shown within the conformation ring. All of our dogs are first and foremost loved and cherished members of our family, raised and residing inside our household. All our puppies are raised inside our home with love, puppy culture, ENS, ESI, etc. All potential puppy applications will go through a thorough screening process to ensure all our puppies go to the most suitable, well matched homes and are given the best lives possible. All Shygon puppies come with lifetime full breeder support. Please note, all our puppies come with strict contracts to be adhered to. We do not sell any puppies to breeding homes or kennels / with breeding rights except in rare circumstances.
