Our main goal, is to breed good quality, true to type, sound dogs, for Showing, Working, dog sports, guard and family. We're also working hard to raise awareness of this breed by the general public and to keep the breed alive. We have spent the last couple of years gathering bloodlines to diversify what we already have and to preserve them. We will have 2 stud dogs available this year with Cumbydene Achilles my premier stud dog bringing in new bloodlines, Tropicrain Jas Akai whose daughter Tropicrain Eye of the Tempest is proving to be a great breeding bitch with the right male. Joining them is Cumbydene Tassie Bound who should produce some outstanding pups and hopefully another red male in the next year or so. More of our babies are entering the show world and this year they did not disappoint gaining the best results yet for us. We have a couple who are working and their owners are pleased with them and several are very good guard dogs and of course loved family members. We also export. Puppies will be available. I use ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) and The Puppy Culture Program to encourage pups to be confident, resilient, intelligent and sound in both mind and body. When considering an ASTCD for your family, please remember they are not lap dogs, nor are they 'sit at home and wait' dogs. Welcome to Clydebrook Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs, located in NE Vic I am proud to be a part of the �Clydebrook� prefix, founded by my parents Bob and Ness some 20 years ago when they began showing and breeding Airedale Terriers. Over the last 35 years, I have been involved with showing and/or breeding German Shepherd Dogs, Alaskan Malamutes, Golden Retrievers, Airedale Terriers and Working Border Collies. I bought my first Stumpy, Angus, in 2019 to join our working team on our beef farm and from the moment we collected him, I knew this was the breed for me. This led me to seek out a registered Stumpy in 2022 from Bobtailz Stumpies, my foundation bitch, Ch Bobtailz Dixie Moon (Dixie) and I couldn�t be happier with her. I intend to uphold the exceptional Clydebrook name by breeding infrequent but quality pups. Breeding only occasionally and only to better the breed. My main focus is temperament. I believe a dog�s temperament should be prioritized above everything else. Next is working ability. I believe dogs should be able to perform the duties for which they are bred. This demands properly balanced dogs with sound health and movement. Lastly, the show ring. If the first two priorities are in place, this will follow. All available health testing is used, including hip/elbow scoring and full DNA screening. We aim to produce healthy, happy, confident pups suitable for work, dog sports and the show ring. Puppies may be available from time to time to approved homes only.
