Dogs NSW membership no: 2100015385 Basenjis are suitable for small homes, but they do require a secure outside area for them to sun themselves. They are active in the morning and the late afternoon when they like to get a walk or playtime, other than that they are pretty lazy and sleep a lot, very like greyhounds. They don't bark but if unhappy they can howl! We have been breeding and showing since 1999 when I got my 1st Basenji (Ch Teschi Pipers Tune) She won Dam of Day 4 times at our October Specialties, a record she still holds. She produced what is now a long line of Champions, the Bayenzi prefix appears in many pedigrees. The kennel has produced multiple BISS winners and we still enjoy showing. Our Basenjis live in our house and the pups are part of our family till they leave home at 9-10 weeks old, fully vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. I am a certified dog behaviouralist and make sure my pups are confident and happy, they are raised using gentle training methods that I share with new owners. I’m always happy to help other Basenji owners with training issues. We test for both Fanconi and PRA, so far we have had clear results in all our dogs so we can guarantee our dogs are clear by parentage. All new owners get a puppy pack and lifetime support for their new family member. We will always take a Basenji back if it needs rehoming for any reason.

Located in the North Brisbane QLD Region. Glendawn Basenjis are Best in Specialty Show, Best in Show, Class in Show, Best in Group and Class in Group winners. At the QLD Basenji Speciality In 2017, our boy Demon 'Aust Ch Remwin Wildaboutharry' took out the Best in Show. Our dogs have done us proud in the show ring and in their wonderful homes. Their loving temperaments and their steadiness under stress and trying times makes them great home companions and family pets. Prior to breeding, parents are DNA tested for PRA and Fanconi Syndrome as well as hip and elbow scored, with all pups being ANKC registered and DNA tested with Orivet to prove parentage. Every new owner is provided with a puppy pack and care package, which includes any additional information and dietary requirements. From two weeks of age, our babies are wormed every fortnight. At 6 weeks of age they are vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health tested by a registered veterinarian. We implement crate training and desensitisation to other dogs, cats and children. Our pups are handled from a very early age to ensure we raise friendly, inquisitive basenjis and to distinguish their temperaments so we can place them with the best homes possible. Since acquiring our first Basenji in 2010, we now have a much loved tribe of Nayembe Basenjis who we have enjoyed showing around Australia, with plenty of "frillies" from Group & classes in Group & Show wins, 2 Best in Specialty Show (Elli & Solo), a Runner Up Best in Specialty Show (Sarabi) & a collection of Royal sashes, along with Lure Coursing just for fun. In 2016 we bred our first litter of Curlypuppies, from Safiya, & kept Araali our red & white boy, Sarabi & Tukio, red & white, and tri girls. We do not breed every year, & while most of our puppies have gone to loving pet homes, we have some show stars too. Safi, Yaama, Elli, & our home-bred Sarabi, Araali, Kip, Kito, Jarrah, Kyirrie, Solo, Indi, Nakari, Seka, TaniJack, Raza & Sala are Champions. Tukio is a Junior Courser. Jarrah & Seka are Best in Group winners, & Crufts qualifiers. Malia was Baby Puppy in Show at the BCoNSW Show 2020 & her puppies, Raza (multi class in show wins) & Sala are showing now. We regularly take part in Sydney Dog Lovers Show & Basenji breed promotions. Our kennel name is Nayembe, from the Lingala language, meaning "I sing". Our dogs live at home in Tamworth, NSW, and whilst they might be the Barkless Dogs, they can all certainly talk! They make delightful & fascinating companions but please research the breed first. Maasenji Basenji's is located in the beautiful Barossa Valley in South Australia. Previously, I had been involved in breeding, training, showing, and judging Dobermanns very successfully for nearly 30 years under the Bravadobe Dobermanns prefix. We have had Basenji's in our lives since 2020 and have had a lot of success and fun with "Skooby" Australian Champion Obsidion Watch The Sparks Fly and "Shelby" Australian Champion Zandeena U Cant Say No To Me, who both live very spoilt lives with my partner Lex and myself. I am very fortunate and grateful that our foundation stock are from the well-established, highly respected and successful Zandeena and Obisidion kennels. Both Skooby and Shelby have been DNA health tested, and with them both having excellent pedigrees behind them and we recently welcome our first litter into the world in June 2025. Skooby and Shelby will be returning to the show ring after their parental duties with a couple of their progeny, "Sebastian" Maasenji Barossa Boy and "Izzy" Maasenji Moorooroo, in 2026.
