I am a small breeder, only raising an occasional litter. My dogs are part of my family, and the puppies are raised in a loving family environment. My puppies are exposed to a range of livestock and other companion animals from a young age. All dogs used for breeding have been DNA tested for hereditary Border Collie diseases, so my puppies can never develop any of these diseases. I expect my pups would be suited to any chosen discipline, as well as making perfect family pets.

My breeding aims are to assist families to find companion Border Collies who are 'clever, calm & cuddly'. Consequently my emphasis is on temperament and health, and focusing on improving Border Collies as excellent family companions, as well as their other skills in dog sports such as fly ball, noseworks, agility, obedience. My dogs have had the full range of Health Tests available for Border Collies – including a Full DNA Profile, and been tested against known Border Collie inheritable diseases (CL – Ceroid Lipofuscinosis, TNS – Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome and CEA Collie Eye Anomaly) plus Hip and Elbow X-Rays to help prevent Hip Dysplasia and Elbow problems. My dogs are exercised off property in a range of environments, mixing with people, kids and other dogs. We enjoy participating in Scentwork, Rally and general Obedience. My dogs live with me in the house 24/7 (with cats). We usually only have a small number of puppies each year and we always have a waiting list. Veronica has had Border Collies as her constant companions for 47 years. It all started with Aldyson Bushmans Eve and then Aldyson Our Purdie. Our lives were irrevocably changed when Vern came into our lives. Vern, Aust. Gr. Ch., Dual Ch (T) Borderfame Ima Believer CDX ADM JDM GD SPDX SD ET, came from the renowned Borderfame Border Collie Kennels in Western Australia. The Late Helena Fitzgerald trusted us with "the one you'll love that I send you". She was of course totally correct. Bridie, Dual. Ch (T) Track and Search Grand Ch Borderfame Monkibusiness JD GD SD came next. Vern has lived on through: his daughter Gidget, Tri Ch (T) (RO) Tracking Grand Champion, Track & Search Grand Champion Maghera Lickety Split CDX ADM JDO JDM SDX SPD GDM); son Haggis, Supreme Ch Dual Ch (T) Tracking Grand Champion Khayoz Somebody Stop Me CCD GD JDX, and son from our second litter, Uncle Lionel. We finally had the courage to breed our first litter that produced Vern's Grand Daughter Shae, Dual Ch., Tracking Grand Champion Switchback Never Say Never TSD, and Richard, (Aust. Ch. Switchback Stop The Riot at Maghera). Richard won Best Australian Bred in Show at the 2024 Border Collie Nationals where Vern's son Uncle Lionel (Ch Switchback Return To Fame TD) won Minor Puppy Dog. We are proud to have versatile Border Collies that are both Show Champions and given the opportunity, excellent performance dogs. We are also proud custodians of this remarkable breed.
