Sanpasho Border Collies Tasmania are a small kennel & have Owned /exhibited & bred border collies for approx. 40 years.We strive to breed the ultimate border collie ,not a herding dog,a performance dog or a show dog ,instead a dog that has the versatility to compete successfully in ALL disciplines and above all that loving devoted nature as a member of the family.We have bred multiple champions , obedience titled dogs and Herding titled dogs, including Grand Champion Sanpasho Pheenix Melody , Grand Champion Sanpasho Xceed N Xcel PT ET & International Champion Sanpasho Areezona Dreamn . We are a small kennel in the outer Launceston area, where our dogs are a part of the our family. They really enjoy lots cuddles and being around us. We love our Border Collies because they are very intelligent and loyal family dogs. Breeding healthy dogs with good temperaments is our priority. All of our bitches and the stud dogs I use have been DNA Tested (to current DNA Standards). They have also been hip and elbow scored too. All puppies are fully wormed, vaccinated, micro chipped, vet checked and registered with the ANKC. All our puppies are raised and socialised in a family environment around children. Finding great homes and helping new owners is important to us so our puppies can become delightful family pets. Our Border Collies come in a range of colours being, blue merle, tri and black and white.

I am a small breeder, only raising an occasional litter. My dogs are part of my family, and the puppies are raised in a loving family environment. My puppies are exposed to a range of livestock and other companion animals from a young age. All dogs used for breeding have been DNA tested for hereditary Border Collie diseases, so my puppies can never develop any of these diseases. I expect my pups would be suited to any chosen discipline, as well as making perfect family pets.

My breeding aims are to assist families to find companion Border Collies who are 'clever, calm & cuddly'. Consequently my emphasis is on temperament and health, and focusing on improving Border Collies as excellent family companions, as well as their other skills in dog sports such as fly ball, noseworks, agility, obedience. My dogs have had the full range of Health Tests available for Border Collies – including a Full DNA Profile, and been tested against known Border Collie inheritable diseases (CL – Ceroid Lipofuscinosis, TNS – Trapped Neutrophil Syndrome and CEA Collie Eye Anomaly) plus Hip and Elbow X-Rays to help prevent Hip Dysplasia and Elbow problems. My dogs are exercised off property in a range of environments, mixing with people, kids and other dogs. We enjoy participating in Scentwork, Rally and general Obedience. My dogs live with me in the house 24/7 (with cats). We usually only have a small number of puppies each year and we always have a waiting list. My dogs whelp indoors – not in separate quarters away from the house. Visitors and inspections are always welcomed. I am retired and home full time. An Important Update from Flyndream After 20 years of experience with Border Collies and receiving our kennel prefix 8 years ago We are no longer breeding Border Collies. This was a difficult decision, but we believe it's the right path for us . Unfortunately, we observed a genetic immune issue emerging in our bloodline. This discovery required us to prioritise the health and well-being of future generations of Border Collies, leading us to retire all our breeding dogs. Flyndream's Legacy While we're not breeding , we're proud of the legacy we've built. We've always prioritised quality in our breeding program. This meant: DNA testing: All our dogs were tested with the latest available options. Health screening: Hips and elbows were x-rayed and scored before breeding. Conformation and temperament: We focused on breeding dogs that met the breed standard, with excellent temperaments. Our Experience I have been fortunate to learn from experienced breeders and gain a deep understanding of the breed standard. Over nearly a decade, we've worked with Border Collies not just as breeders & showing but also training our dogs in obedience, tricks, and even dog sledding Our Commitment Continues While breeding has concluded, our love for Border Collies remains strong. We stand behind the principles we applied in raising our puppies, which included the Puppy Culture program methods. My love of passion for Border Collies started back in1979 while in Europe visiting my auntie Betty whom owned five beautiful elegant loving nature Border Collies. First and foremost our dogs are very much valued members of our family. Our emphasis is on breeding for soundness, conformation and temperament for companion & loyal friends across all disciplines. Our dogs have all been DNA and hip/elbow tested as their health comes first. Our dogs are excelling very well in all areas of dogs sports. We train regularly in all disciplines at home and exhibit in competition rings. Trialling on most weekends in Hobart. Launceston and Ulverstone. (Conformation (Show), Obedience, Rally ,Agility , Endurance and Tricks) On 29th August to 1st September 2024 we attended The 6th Border Collie National was held in Queensland and it's fourth time Dogs Queensland have hosted The Border Collie Nationals

Sanbriann Border Collies is proud to announce this long awaited litter, born on 5th January 2024. The mother of this litter is JAYLBRO A MILLIONREASONS WHY (Willow) and the sire is LITTLEEDEN THE MAN (Padre). Both parents have very good pedigrees and are DNA clear of all genetic/hereditary diseases, which means the puppies will be clear by parentage. We have 1 female & 3 males available, all are black & white. The puppies will be wormed regurlarly at two week intervals from two weeks of age, microchipped, their first vaccination, vet checked and registered with Dogs Tasmania on Limit Register. Veronica has had Border Collies as her constant companions for 47 years. It all started with Aldyson Bushmans Eve and then Aldyson Our Purdie. Our lives were irrevocably changed when Vern came into our lives. Vern, Aust. Gr. Ch., Dual Ch (T) Borderfame Ima Believer CDX ADM JDM GD SPDX SD ET, came from the renowned Borderfame Border Collie Kennels in Western Australia. The Late Helena Fitzgerald trusted us with "the one you'll love that I send you". She was of course totally correct. Bridie, Dual. Ch (T) Track and Search Grand Ch Borderfame Monkibusiness JD GD SD came next. Vern has lived on through: his daughter Gidget, Tri Ch (T) (RO) Tracking Grand Champion, Track & Search Grand Champion Maghera Lickety Split CDX ADM JDO JDM SDX SPD GDM); son Haggis, Supreme Ch Dual Ch (T) Tracking Grand Champion Khayoz Somebody Stop Me CCD GD JDX, and son from our second litter, Uncle Lionel. We finally had the courage to breed our first litter that produced Vern's Grand Daughter Shae, Dual Ch., Tracking Grand Champion Switchback Never Say Never TSD, and Richard, (Aust. Ch. Switchback Stop The Riot at Maghera). Richard won Best Australian Bred in Show at the 2024 Border Collie Nationals where Vern's son Uncle Lionel (Ch Switchback Return To Fame TD) won Minor Puppy Dog. We are proud to have versatile Border Collies that are both Show Champions and given the opportunity, excellent performance dogs. We are also proud custodians of this remarkable breed.
