We breed Chesapeake Bay Retrievers under the kennel prefix Webfoot since 2007, having previously bred in partnership under the kennel prefix Tenarda for 30 years. We have enjoyed many achievements. Webfoot Chesapeakes concentrate on outstanding retrieving ability while also exhibiting sound, dual purpose dogs in the show ring. In 2007, homebred DUAL CHAMPION (Retrieving) Tenarda Firecracker ('Cracker') completed the AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL RETRIEVING TRIAL, being one of 8 finishers, out of 59 dogs. He was BEST MINOR BREED in the Trial. In 2008 AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION Webfoot Bear River won the DOGZONLINE NATIONAL BREED POINTSCORE Competition and also won the RISING STAR Award. In 2009 he was BEST OF BREED at QUEENSLAND ROYAL SHOW. WEBFOOT are proud to be ADVANCE® CHESAPEAKE BAY RETRIEVER BREEDER OF THE YEAR, 2009 & 2010. Breeder of the 1st live litter of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers in Australia. Having imported the 1st bitch into this country with Hank and Betty Dobrowolski- 1st female titled Cheasapeake Bay Retriever in Australia and the dam of the 1st Chesapeake Bay Retriever to win a Best in Group in this country. Winning BIG at Brisbane Royal and following it up with 2 more BIGs under international Gundog Specialists - "Rebel" epitomised the quality and character of this great breed. Many "Tenarda" CBRs have achieved success in several fields of endeavour. Tragically 2009 saw the loss of our beautiful leading lady "Aust Ch Tenarda Firefly" - "Lulu".(Pictured) In late August 2010 Crowlee No Regrets "Tilly" joined our K9 family and caught the eye of judges in very short order - it will be interesting to see what 2012 holds for "Tilly" and myself as she prepares for motherhood. 2011 saw the arrival of a new little lady - "Brandy" debuted in late March and she is a fun dog to show and is well on her way to her title - special thanks to John and Dan Stafford for this great girl. 2011 also saw the arrival of "Tyler" - Aust Ch Stormbay Pacific Privateer (Imp NZ) and we are grateful to Denise Crowley for letting this fun loving boy come into our lives. 2018 sees him living in retirement amongst his K9 Ladies. Our Sharbae Rose of Tenarda (Imo UK)(Rose) arrived out of Quarantine 17/06/18 and has quickly made and impression winning JIG just 6 days after joining us. Watch this space!!!!

We have owned bred and shown Chessies for 17 years here in the Illawarra of New South Wales.All our dogs are raised as pets and are house dogs.We thank Tenarda, Stormbay , Crowlee and Bamgyps kennels for their wonderfully bred dogs that have contributed to the Chessiehaven dog linage .In this time we have bred several litters and these have produced champions (Thanks to Margaret Wedgewood) . Our dogs: Stormy 12 years,Tug 6.5 years and Redge 4.5 years and Tayta 4.5 years are all wonderful examples of the Chessie.
