We have owned and bred Chows for over 30 years, just love this breed. Our pack have Red or Black colours, with Ruff or Smooth coats. We also show our Chows to confirm that they conform to the Chow Chow breed standard. We are a small breeder/exhibitor kennel where our Chows are household members, pampered pets first, show dogs second. We health test our Chows to try and ensure healthy active pups. Our dogs are Hip & Elbow scored and ACES eye test to confirm their health prior to breeding. We have worked hard with our associates within the breed and feel that we have helped contribute to improve the breed. All our pups are house reared, house trained and socialised with sound of temperament, mind, and body. Information about this unique breed freely imparted. Here at Katasia our goal is to preserve the qualities of this amazing; ancient breed. We are located in Wollongong, and have been actively showing Chows since 2012 to prove that our Chows meet the breed standard. We are also active in the dog world and attend many events with our Chows promoting and educating on responsible dog ownership. We ventured into breeding in 2016. We only usually have 1 or 2 litters per year and try to keep something for the show ring and our future breeding plans. Our adult Chows are all health tested prior to joining the breeding program which includes Hip/Elbow Scoring and ACES eye examinations. We are more than welcome for you to meet our Chows, especially if you haven’t met to many in real life it’s a great idea to meet some adult ones, or even if you just have some questions about Chows….
