I was raised by parents who have been successfully showing German Shepherds for 40 years. Whilst I love German Shepherds my daughter wanted a Long Hair Mini Dachshund. We purchased our first Mini Dachshund in 2020 from a reputable breeder, who guided us as we began showing. We fell in love with the breed and purchased another. As one is never enough! We have since started scent training (nose work) and have found this sport to be so much fun for both our dogs and ourselves. We look forward to continue showing and competing in scent trials. Our Dachshunds are very much a part of our family, are socialised with children and enjoy playing on our 2 acres with our other animals.

We pride ourselves on our vigorous health testing, including IVD x-ray screening, of which our beautiful girl Tara received a perfect score of 0, meaning she shows no signs of IVDD spine degeneration. We also perform full DNA testing, including SDMD and PRA Cord 1, and obtain Vet clearance certificates for patellas, eyes, and cardiac health. Our motivation is to breed miniature long-haired dachshunds that fulfill their purpose of bringing joy and companionship to their owners, while exemplifying the breed's attributes and predictability. Our miniature long-haired dachshunds are Aust.
