Renee and I joined this wonderful breed with the guidance and assistance of Marie - obtaining Kiwi - Ch Birchlands Crown Choice (IMP NZ) in 2010. Some time after this we began searching for our 'girl' so bring Truespring to fruition. We were eventually able to do this with Brocks daughter - Harper 'Ch Glenkinchie Royal Choice' who obtained her title as a Puppy. Harper is also co owned with Phil, Marie and Emma. Another of Brocks daughters joined us - Blanche 'Kinsheran Carte Blanche' who has produced our very first litter of ESS in December 2017.

Better known as The Daisy Hill Menagarie & for being a safe and happy retirement home for springers, Trenzalore Springer Spaniels is a prefix that has a lifetime of association with the springer spaniel, with our first bitch being a working ESS called Joy (Sharneyford Patches) in the early 1980s. The gift of the beautiful B/W/T bitch in 2008: Sabrina (Ch Fraelighte From ADistnce) started the obsession with the 'eyebrows'. So in mid 2014, in conjunction with Sharyn from Larona ESS, we welcomed two new 'eyebrow' kids from Three Ponds Valley ESS in Poland: Angel and Anthony, both black & white tricolours. I added the fabulous Welshie to the mix in 2009 with Frodo coming to the sunshine to retire, but the lure of the ring proved too much for him and he achieved his Neuter Title in Oct 2014. Harlow the Tri-colour ESS finally titled in early 2022 and is having some time off so we have borrowed Piper (WSS) from Goldmaid for a little showcation. We have no plans for any puppies in the foreseeable future

In 2018 we imported Ch. Barecho Custom Made (Björn) and Gr.Ch. Barecho B Witched (Annika) bred by Helene and David Björkman in Sweden. We started showing in July 2018, both dogs attained Australian Champion in 2019 and have picked up multiple awards since, including a RUBIS for Annika in 2022 and Grand Champion in 2023. Annika and Björn are live-in family! In 2019 they had their first litter of seven, with Arvid and Anja remaining with us under our prefix - Ch. Wytcher Angel Eyes and Gr.Ch. Wytcher Dancing Queen respectively - now both Aus Champions, Anja became Grand Champion in 2024. Annika and Björn gave us the beautiful B litter of 10 in 2021 - the irresistible Wytcher B Dazzled 'Beatris' was our keeper, with Ch. Wytcher B Spellbound 'Lily' moving to Darwin (a rockstar already with multi BIS), and Ch. Wytcher B Starbright 'Bella' moving to Victoria. In 2024, in order to extend our breeding lines into the future, we bred Annika to CIE. BE.CH. NL.CH. Crackerjanne Court Favour (UK) - delivering the stunning 'C' litter of seven. Our aim at Bayspring is to produce sound, healthy puppies with that soft, effervescent temperament and willingness to please attitudes so typical of these gorgeous dogs. Straitswill Springer Spaniels is a small kennel located at Reekara, King Island. The breeding of my girls initially came from Rachel Greaves of Wrangham Springer Spaniels. Over time, sires have included Glastonpark Teddy, Schulwey Barkley, Wrangham Big Wig and Wentloodge Rebel Yel. I only source top hunting Pedigree Dogs for my girls. The combination of the sires with my girls has brought out their natural hunting ability which is my primary aim - to breed top hunting Springers. All my girls excel in the hunting of ducks and pheasants, which are the only game available for hunting on King Island. They have all proven to be excellent mothers, they are loving with gentle natures and whenever I have a litter many children, including my grandchildren visit and play with the pups. The mothers have never shown any aggression towards unknown visitors to the pups. My pups have also proven to be good pets. But you must be mindful, Springers need a lot of exercise, space to run, places to swim and things to generally excite their intelligence. I kept a female from Pipers last litter, Lucy, just about to turn 1. Lucy came Pheasant Shooting with me on the June Long Weekend, and I was very impressed with her hunting ability. She is also very gentle, loves the grandchildren and often snuggles up with them on the couch.
