Queensland's first Finnish Lapphunds. One of the two foundation breeders in Australia. Home to Australia's First Grand Champion -Grand Ch Staalon Bestseller (Imp Fin). Sadly deceased May 2005-far too young! Now we are home to Manu - Supreme Ch Lapinlumon Mundus (Imp Fin) who is Australia's first Supreme Champion and multi Reserve in Show winner. We are the home to Riki - Supreme Ch Theldaroy Anyone Dare To Diffa ET who was Qld top Rising Star in 2011, and was from 2012 until October 2018, Australia's young Lappie Grand champion. (This standing has now been obtained by another outstanding dog.) He gained this at just 23 1/2 months of age. He gained his Supreme Chanmpionship less than 4 months later. We are the breeder of "Blaze" - four time winner of the Melbourne Royal Best of Breed. We also are the breeder of "Riki" who is to date the only lapphund to have won Best of Breed at the Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne royals in the same year. Breeder of the youngest Best In Group lapphunds. Laani who also won Reserve in show at 9 months and Ollie who won Best in Group at 8 1/2 months and winner of 2007 Brisbane Royal Opposite Sex Puppy in Show. All Lapphunds owned by us are health tested and DNA screened. Puppies are vaccinated, reared in our home, sold with veterinary health checks and ongoing contact with the breeder is highly recommended along with regular update of photos. Here at Janoby Kennels we aim to breed quality Finnish Lapphunds we do not breed often but when we do it is with the intention to stay as close to breed standard as possible, type & temperment are very important to us. All Finnish Lapphunds owned by us have been dna tested for PRCD-PRA.We are very proud of our puppies, with a great family nature they fit well into their new homes. Deerlane kennels is based on the southside of Brisbane, Qld. Breeding for quality not quantity. Our focus is on functional dogs bred for health, temperament and breed type. I began my breed journey over 10 years ago, & welcomed my first Lappie in 2016. I compete in conformation shows & are home to a Grand Champion, an American Grand Champion, and Australian champions. I also dabble it sports such as Lure Coursing and Herding. My dogs are most importantly part of the family; living in my home, sleeping on my couch, going on holidays and always by my side. They make fabulous family dogs, taking everything in their stride. All my breeding dogs are DNA tested for genetic diseases (PRA, DM, Pompes), CHEDS Hip and Elbow scored, ACES eye tested, and hearts checked by a cardiologist. Dogs at stud are available to approved bitches with Stud Agreement. Our next litter is planned for early 2025. We are a small dedicated kennel in West Brisbane & our Lappies are our family first! Having worked in the veterinary industry for 10 years, we pride ourselves in extensive health testing, researched genetic compatibility and ongoing support. We value healthy, trainable, friendly dogs that are true to type and this is what drives our breeding program choices. Our dogs currently compete in Conformation & Sprint Dog & Cuddling (highly skilled) we hope to add agility, lure coursing and herding titles in the future. Hi, I'm Claire C. Tirnacu from the Irish gaeilge "Tir Na Cu" means land of dogs. It sums up our home quite well, Its all about the dogs here. We are a small scale program.Our two girls Croia and Esky are predominantly much loved pets. Our Puppies are raised in the heart of the home and life centres around the dogs and pups. We follow a ENS and puppy culture style raising plan and aim to produce well rounded confident pups ready to take on the world as wonderful companions. I work as a Veterinarian and our dogs are fully health tested. I am also happy to do meet and greets with my adult dogs for those interested in meeting and getting to know the breed. The homes our puppies move on to get backup for life and we would love to hear updates on their new lives with their new families.
