I have been happily showing and breeding French Bulldogs since 1999 with my foundation bitch being the lovely CH Lajoix Sophie whose dam was from the famous Wyndsmoor line in the UK - NZ CH Wyndsmoor Amour Amour (imp UK). Over the last 20 years I have bred a number of puppies who are all out and about in NZ, Australia & Canada making many families a happier place. To date I have titled 19 home-bred champions under my kennel name. We have 2 stud dogs at home: CH Pahaoa Rogatien and Pahaoa Armande - available to approved bitches. I am currently campaigning some of my young Frenchies in the show ring. Just love owning these fabulous dogs - they don't call them the clowns of the dog world for nothing! I breed to the International FCI Standard - I do not breed fad-coloured Frenchies - blues, merles, chocolates and blacks. I am also an NZCAC certified microchip implanter.

I am a small boutique breeder and my Frenchie’s are my family. My aim is to breed healthy, sound French Bulldogs true to the ANKC Breed Standard, following Dogs NSW Code of Ethics. I have 3 breeding girls and they are all health tested prior to breeding. This means they are DNA tested for hereditary cataracts, breed specific diseases and their hips and spine are X-rayed and scored. My girls have also been Respiratory function graded, by a Specialist Veterinarian team from Cambridge University with clear score gradings – results can be seen on the Orchid website. Both Parents undergo DNA testing prior to breeding. This means the puppies are clear by parentage and will not inherit/ display any of these diseases. All my breeding dogs undergo a Full Breed Disease DNA Profile. Based on those results, the puppies that I breed cannot be affected (double gene carriers) by the testable diseases known to affect French Bulldogs. Chezfrench is dedicated to producing beautiful & healthy French Bulldogs and I choose the best genetics available to advance the quality & health of the breed, by selecting gorgeous boys that have impressive pedigrees and are proven sires. With top winning progeny in Australia and overseas. I will only breed from dogs with no known health issues & with exceptional temperaments. Puppies are DNA tested, spine and trachea x-rayed at 9 weeks, heart, eyes, and jaws are checked, and a veterinary health report is issued, and guaranteed.

We are a family of breeders and owners, but I recently returned to breeding after 15+years focusing on family. On my return I chose to chase my love of the French Bulldog we have always enjoyed the bulldog or bull and terrier breeds (previously amstaffs/staffys). I sourced quality dogs and started showing not long after. I breed for health, conformation and to advance the breed. Our French Bulldogs are much loved family pets, & showing is a passion/hobby. Our boy King Louis attained his Aus. Ch. Title within 8 months of showing. Charlotte Luna our first bitch has also achieved her Aus. Ch but is yet to have a litter. Maple our 2nd bitch came into our home at almost 2 years of age and did not take to the show ring, while she has incredible markings and color, we chose not to teach an old dog new tricks and instead leave her to enjoy the relaxed life. We are passionate about the breed and do not approve of some of the more recent developments when it comes to color, coat, nose rolls or size. All dogs can have health issues but people cross breeding and pushing the boundaries are damaging a beautiful and unique breed. Our dogs are raised in a home with 5 kids and are socialized and robust as a result. We say our Frenchie's are bombproof but don't recommend trying it!
