We have been involved with working German Shorthaired Pointers since the late 1970's. We are also an DogsNZ Acredited breeder. Jagdhunde Kennels prides itself on its fully health tested GSPs with great outgoing temperaments and strong working ability. From early NZ, Australian & German lines. We have a bred number of dogs who work for the Department Of Conservation including the well known "Neo & Beau The Whio Dogs". We have older puppies atm and occasionally older started working dogs available. We also have fully health tested stud dogs and a range of frozen semen available to aproved and health tested bitches. German Shorthaired Pointers from proven working lines who are also competitive in the show ring. Temperament is of the upmost importance to us. Our dogs are great working dogs and much loved pets. One of our puppies has gone on to work for DOC as a Whio (Blue Duck) dog. Home of the dual purpose Hunt Point and Retrieve Gun Dog. Our German stock is based on solid foundations and can be traced directly back to English lines; Midlander, Inchmarlo and Keldy origins. The Midlander bloodline has remained constant since the 1950's, producing successes both in the show ring and the field. We are a small kennel producing the occasional litter. We ensure that each stud dog chosen suits our line and has the proven qualities of a dual purpose German Shorthaired Pointer. Our aim is to produce puppies and dogs that are a pleasure to live with, have the attributes to make them the perfect shooting companion in tandem with conformation to accord with the breed standard.

Est. 2001. My dogs are family first and foremost but we are often found at Conformation shows, Rally O competitions or Scent work trials around the South Island in the weekends. All breeding's are thoroughly researched and I only breed when I want to keep something for myself. Health and temperament of puppies produced is paramount when planning a litter. Parents are fully health tested (Hips/Elbows, eyes, heart, and full DNA panel as a minimum). ***No litters planned for the foreseeable future***

The AYTEE Kennel is 48 years old and run by Lucie Hustler & Harriett Brownell in Canterbury New Zealand. We compete and show our GSP's and once they are proven, in the show ring and in field trials, we breed a litter from time to time and generally keep a puppy ourselves. Aytee dogs are driven hunters, stylish pointers and good retrievers. They swim well, have soft mouths and are trainable, with kind temperaments and they live in the home with families and children. The sire and dam are always health tested and proven in Show and Field Trials before breeding. Puppies are reared in the home, sold at 8 weeks, registered, health checked and microchipped but not injected. Harriett or Lucie would be very happy to answer any queries regards buying a puppy. You may be a first time owner or more experienced, whatever your query don't hesitate to call and we will do what we can to help. At Aytee we give preference to working homes and would ideally ask prospective owners to be a member of an organisation or club, involved in some aspect of hunting and gundog work although there are alternatives such as search and rescue work or other scent work that also suits a GSP. We believe that when a GSP is trained for a job its life is more fulfilled and it gives owners a proper chance of enjoying their GSP to the full. A more wonderful dog you could not wish to own, but please only enquire if you are truly interested in putting in the time to train and create a great companion
