We are located 2 hours west of Sydney, and have been breeding Wirehaired Vizslas since 2010. We only breed occasionally, focusing on quality rather than quantity. Our dogs are from top working and show lines in Europe and the UK, and are hip and scored and health tested (HUU). We also genetically test for the presence of a wirey coat. We regularly import semen to sire new litters as the gene pool in Australia for this breed is currently very small. Some puppies from our previous litters are working in the field with quail, ducks, deer, and boar. Others are enjoying success in show, retrieving, scent work, and obedience trials. Our dogs have featured in TV commercials and magazine photo shoots. Above all, our puppies are much loved members of their human families. We are a “Puppy Culture” breeder, and follow their guidelines to raise our pups and help us determine which pup is best suited to each new family environment. All dogs are Health Tested for Hereditary diseases and are HUU Clear, Hip/Elbow Scores with excellent scores. We are located in outer north east Melbourne and have been in love with Hungarian wirehaired vizslas since we got our first boy in 2017. In 2023 we added an unrelated female and bred her in 2025. Our HWV's have excellent Hungarian, French and UK show and perfomance lines. We are actively involved with our dogs; both have gained their Australian Champion titles plus we compete in Retrieving and Field Trials. We hunt ducks and quail with our HWV's and both are trained to find and hold point, are steady to the shot and to retrieve to hand. Most importantly they are calm and affectionate in the home, have excellent temperaments, intelligent and respond well to training. To improve the gene pool in Australia we have imported semen from an impressively bred Hungarian dog that is now living in the US. He was awarded Best of Breed at the 2024 Winchester Kennel Club Show and has gained American hunting titles and performs very well on upland birds. We health test our dogs, including the donor sire, and all have excellent hips and elbows, are free of inherited diseases (HUU) and are genetically tested for wire coats. We raise the pups in our own home using the Puppy Culture method. We have developed a questionaire for potential owners so that we can best determine the most suitable pup to fit each new family's environment and lifestyle.
