My name is Pia Kirke (formally Rosemary D'Agostin). Of Tilcha Kennels I have been involved with dogs professionally for over 60 years. Over the past years I have bred, shown, imported, exported and raised Löwchen, before that many different breeds of dogs, Poodles Shih Tzu Bull mastiff. As Tilcha is a small kennel Established in 1961 Originally importing the first little lion dogs into Australia in 1976, I have Breed & Imported, and exhibited Löwchen to Best in show and BIS Show Being the breeder of the first BEST IN SHOW Lowchen in the world and the importer of the first best in group dog in the world, Now having exported to the UK USA NZ having Champions in all of them A. U.K.CH Tilcha Stylish Armani exported to the UK since Crufts 07. where I showed her later she went on to win Best in group at Bath in 2008 championship show. she was the first Lowchen from a contrary outside of the UK to win a B.Ex.I.G.in 08 Before going to the UK at 14 months old she won her first B.Ex.I S. in Australia. My personal objective is to breed Type, soundness of body, mind, spirit. Show dogs and pets alike must have a good temperament and be healthy and sound. As a dog therapist. I enjoy doing some nose works, to let the dogs have a full and fun life. I am open to placing dogs for showing breeding and sports! it is important to socialize puppies well, and I like to keep contact with the owners helping them with grooming and training. We became involved in the dog world in 1979 with our first Dalmatian. After showing and breeding Dalmatians successfully for some time, we fell in love with the very cheeky and lovable Lowchen in the mid 1980's with the introduction of Ardgowan Crackerjack (Imp NZ) (Jack) to our Dalmatian owned home. We soon fell under the spell of their wonderful clownlike personalities and added Lyoncourt Lancelot (Ben) and Paceaway Larapinta (Misty) to our home. Our first litter from Ben and Misty in 1992 produced the Best In Show (All Breeds)winning Ch Rondaglen Sir Galahad and Ch Rondaglen Lady Othelake. Now producing quality puppies with both imported and Australian lines, we are proud to announce that we bred the first Australian Lowchen to attain both conformation and obedience titles - Aust Ch Rondaglen Parti Fashion UD, owned and handled by Miss I Bilney, followed by Rondaglen My Fair Lady (CDX) owned and trialled by Charmaine Lee. Our breeding is now being successfully shown in Victoria and South Australia with multiple Royal Show best of breeds being awarded both to Rondaglen Lowchen and now the second generation - Lowensque Lowchen bred and handled by Courtney Tulk. Currently having success in the ring with Angel (Gr Ch Rondaglen Heaven Sent) from our first Rondaglen/Lowensque litter. Kilgarrin was established in 1971, with our first Lowchen joining our family in 1982. Our modern Lowchen breeding has been unbroken since 2004, spanning many generations. While Devon has been breeding and showing Lowchen, Dean has forayed into the ring and Alex is set to make her entrance in 2026. We selectively breed quality Lowchen aiming at healthy, well adjusted happy animals for companions, show ring and other disciplines. Our puppies are raised in the house and are well socialised. Kilgarrin Estate is situated on 20 acres in Western Victoria, where our Lowchen and Performance Horses reside. Whether you want a Lowchen as a pet, show dog or for dog sports, we can assist you! Owner and exhibitor of Lowchen since 2009, I aim to breed Lowchen with sound temperaments,true to type which suit the life of a friendly, happy companion. I spend a significant amount of time preparing my puppies for their lives outside of the whelping box, exposing them to numerous stimuli and developing resilience early on. My dogs are an integral part of my life and puppies are raised in the home, well socialised and well supported.
