Australian Champion Abbiestar Luca Von Pillersdorf ET. RN. SPRD.X

Introducing Luca. After an 18 year hiatus from the show ring, we returned to the show ring with a young and promising Luca. Since commencing his show career in September 2023, Luca achieved his Australian Championship in just six months in highly competitive Victoria. He has made his presence felt in the show ring. He has accumulated multiple Challenge wins, multiple Best of Breed wins and multiple Class in Group wins. He can now add an all breeds Championship Show BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP win to his resume. In less than 2 years in the ring, he is well on the way to his Grand Championship with extended rest periods to do the other things he loves. 20/06/2025 - Luca wins BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP (Group 1st) & OPEN IN GROUP at Coffs Harbour District All Breeds Kennel Club. 28/08/2025 - Luca wins RUNNER UP TO BEST EXHIBIT IN GROUP (Group 2nd) at East Gippsland Kennel Club. 03/09/2025 - Luca wins BEST OPEN IN GROUP at West Wyalong Kennel Club. 05/09/2025 - Luca's Best of Breed Critique - Ms Tania Edwards (South Africa) “Lovely on the move. Well muscled. Super outline. Strong on the stack. Excellent head, skull, bite, eyes, overall balance, neck, shoulder, forequarter, hindquarters, feet, topline, chest, tail, tailset, gait (front/back, reach and drive)" ACT Gundog Society Championship Show. Luca is a fifth generation Abbiestar bred boy on his mother's side and his pedigree boasts numerous Abbiestar Champions and a Dual Champion as well as working discipline titled dogs. In August 2024, Luca completed and qualified for his Endurance Test (E.T.) title. He completed the course with ease, demonstrating his fine working ability, strength and sound conformation. In April 2025, Luca gained his final Qualifying Certificate required for his Rally Novice (RN) title, handled by Sophie. We are proud of him and look forward to competing in Rally Advanced later in the year. In March 2026, he gained the final points needed for his SprintDog™ Excellent Title (SPRD.X - ANKC Pending) and will happily continue trash bunny chasing. We look forward to trying out even more sports with him in the future. A temperament to die for, a much loved member of our family and an excellent all-round Spooky Dog.
