Tuckombil Kennel has owned and bred Australian Terriers for 15 years and we love the breed for its innumerable positive qualities. Apart from its very good looks, the Aussie is just as happy living on the farm or in town and adapts comfortably from very active to quieter lifestyles. Australian Terriers are very much at home in young families and will share affection liberally with all family members. We believe that prioritising even temperaments and sound conformation are essential elements in responsible dog breeding.

We have owned and loved at least one Australian Terrier for over 50 years all of them the rare Red coated Aussies. Our doggies have helped raise our children and they protect our house from predators such as snakes mice and rats etc. They are real characters and we have grown to love each with its own personality adopting all our friends and children as their own. They are true Aussies requiring little grooming and low shedding coats and no clipping is required. Our puppies are from DNA tested stock, vaccinated, vet checked and wormed ready for their new adventure with you. Our next litter will not be available until at least November/December 2026 but cannot be gsranteed. Please inquire by email - gringojg@yahoo.com for further information or to arrange a viewing prior to any decision.

We are a small boutique kennel based in far west NSW. Our Aussies are family pets and well socialised with children. We take pride in being able to breed quality Australian Terriers on country. The kennel name is derived from local language, from the baarkanjii people. The barka (darling river) is essential to life in the region. Our puppies are well exposed to farm and outback life. Possibly the Southernmost kennels in NZ, if not the world, we are relatively new to breeding, our love and admiration of the Australian Terrier being our motivation. We have been fortunate in having NZ CH stud dog "Stryker" live with us, who is very professional in tending to his duties. Raised in our home our Aussies are well socialised and thrive on interaction with both children and adults. They are dedicated guard dogs, have an awesome sense of smell, love cuddles and aren't fussy eaters. A "big dog in a small dog's body", our ATs are up for any challenge going and their agility is outstanding. Whether you're after a dog for showing, agility activities, Rally Obedience or pet, you won't go far wrong with the loyal, mate-for-life Australian Terrier.

I was born into the dog world having been involved in Labradors with Field trialling with my parents. I ventured out getting involved with Terriers in 1992 with my first Bull Terrier which I am still involved in and love. However the Australian terrier joined my family and we have never looked back, this hardy breed that really are a big dog in a small package, are the love of my life. They are very much part of my household in every way. I am very lucky to have my daughter Aimee Pycroft Involved with my kennels in both breeding and showing. We are involved in Canterbury Juniors Kennel Society and United Bull breeds. The love of showing allows us to promote this wonderful breed, and now I am lucky enough to be licenced to judge all terriers at champ show level. We work hard to produce Australian Terriers that conform to the standard and are fit for purpose. We are always happy to talk Australian Terriers to anyone wanting to learn. Our breeding stock is tested clear for VWD. Our dogs are fed and raised on BLACKHAWK
