I am a show exhibitor and select breeder of solid English Cocker Spaniels (Black, Gold and Black and Tan). My aim is to breed healthy cocker spaniels of the highest quality, temperament and type. To further improve my breeding program, I have imported dogs from both the UK and France. Puppies are bred to produce quality show dogs and to improve the breed, hence I only have limited litters. From these litters however, puppies may be available as loving family companions. Puppies are lovingly raised in our home and well socialised. Puppies are sold on "Limited Register" which means that they cannot be shown or bred with. The Limited Register still allows them to compete in dogs sports such as agility, obedience, tracking, Dancing with Dogs, Gundog retrieving and field trials etc. Of utmost importance is the health and well being of my dogs. At Carawood all my dogs are DNA tested for the main hereditary problems in the breed. Selective and careful breeding ensures that none of my dogs will ever be affected by these diseases: PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), FN (Familial Nephropathy) and AON (Adult Onset Neuropathy). I am a committee member of the Cocker Spaniel Club of Victoria and actively involved with the club.
