A small kennel started in the late 1990's, we have house raised pups occasionally available. Our puppies are raised indoors in a family home with children. They will be vet checked, vaccinated, wormed fortnightly, microchipped and will have ANKC pedigree papers on the limited register with Dogs QLD. All parents are DNA health screened to ensure healthy puppies. We are members and registered with Dogs Queensland (ANKC) who advocate for the preservation of purebred dogs through ethical breeding. I got my first Cocker Spaniel "Pixel" in 2012. Ever since then, I have been absolutely hooked on the breed. Especially Blacks. I was very lucky to have found a good breeder right at the start & am a very strong advocate for the absolute importance of ethical breeders. I am also very passionate about health testing. "Pixel" unfortunately was affected with AON (Adult Onset Neuropathy). I set her free just before she was 10. She was my heart dog & the story behind my prefix. Unfortunately the test for AON came out when Pixel was just over 2 years old. Pixel's destiny could have never been stopped as the testing didn't exist until now. Whilst many will claim their dogs do not produce AON, so many will not test for it. It's a $70USD test. It's inexpensive and so important for the future of the breed. Whilst I do show occasionally (I'm not built for running!) my primary passion in the dog world is in sports. I am an ANKC Licenced Judge for Lure Coursing, SprintDog™️ & Weight Pull. My now 13 year old boy Cedar was the first dog in Australia to gain an ANKC Lure Coursing title. Cedar & Pixel went on to be Australia's first for all subsequent titles available in Lure Coursing. Now Cedar competes in SprintDog™️ so he still gets to chase his trash bunnies. Squid also does SprintDog™️ & has her first Lure Coursing title, but like me, she is not the determined athlete of the family! I also own a Sloughi named Oryx.
