We are a small family based kennel where all our dogs live as part of the family. We aim to breed Goldens which excel in temperament and type.

I started getting involved with Golden Retrievers in 2002 when I bought my first golden retriever girl "Tess" in the Netherlands. The year after we moved back to Sydney with Tess and that is where I started Eurogold Golden Retrievers. Tess became my foundation bitch and gave me two beautiful litters, many of these pups lived until to grand old age of 15 years. In 2022 we moved to the Gold Coast in Queensland where have 1.5 acres of land. The dogs love running around and have their own beautiful pool to swim in. Queensland has amazing beaches where we go for walks and get lots of attention from people around us wanting to say hello to the dogs or have their photo taken with them. I do the occasional show, some scent work and obedience with the dogs. Our dogs have always lived inside with us as full part of the family. I breed 1, maximum 2 litters per year and go by the motto of quality over quantity. I select puppy homes carefully, only the best is good enough for Eurogold Golden Retrievers. Our greatest joy is to welcome new pet owning families into the fold, we have also provided many Assistance Dogs and to this end we are very focused on typical joyful and steady temperaments. We X-ray all of our breeding dogs for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia, certify hearts, eyes and DNA test for PRA1, PRA2 and ICT-A.Show puppies are also available upon enquiry. We have bred many Multi- BIS winners over the years, lay claim to having bred a number of Grand Champions and over 20 Champions. Our greatest joy being our own home bred Aust Ch Alubyc SS Enterprise winner of 9 All Breeds Best in Shows. Of recent times our dogs have won at a high level in the USA, Ireland, Scotland, Finland and Poland. In 2018 a dog of our breeding gained his UK Stud book number and CRUFTS Qualification for life. We only breed to UK and European bloodlines and will not compromise in our belief that these are the exemplar and most correct specimens of the breed with research backed longevity. My name is Lesley Lowe and along with my husband, Phil - we are Wembury Golden Retrievers. My first litter was in 1987 and since that time I have bred a select number of very special dogs. We lived for a number of years in Lismore in Northern NSW, but have now settled in Queensland’s beautiful Gold Coast hinterland. We are on five acres, so the dogs have plenty of room to run. Here at Wembury Golden Retrievers we strive to have dogs with wonderful temperaments who bring joy to all they meet. It’s all about the character and sense of humour which is the essence of what makes them Goldens. They must be smart as well as trainable too. Soundness comes next and is very important to us, which is why we do all the health checks to make sure we get it right – We test hips and elbows, hearts and eyes, Ict-A and Pra 1 & 2 DNA tests. All of these must be well and truly within our very strict standards before we consider using one of our dogs in the breeding program. Lastly, we need our dogs to be beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. The show-ring, whilst not our primary goal, is a really good way to keep tabs on our progress – so we do compete from time to time. We only breed occasionally and only allow our puppies to go to wonderful loving homes where they will be cherished as family members. All enquiries are welcomed.

We first welcomed this wonderful breed into our lives 25 years ago and this love affair continues today. We hold them all, past and present, very dear in our hearts as they bring us great joy. We are a small family based breeder of quality pedigree Golden Retrievers on the southern end of the Gold Coast on an acre block. All our Goldens are beloved members of our family and therefore our home is very much their home as well. We have been breeding for several years. We breed for soundness, temperament and improving the breed with each litter. We strive to breed excellent quality puppies. We do occasionally have puppies available to go to approved wonderful, loving forever homes where they will be welcomed as a beloved family member. We want only the best forever homes for our precious puppies. This information will be shown in the Litters Page. A questionnaire will be required to be completed. They will be listed on the limited register and will not be able to be bred from or exported. All of our puppies are raised in our home and enjoy a family environment. They are exposed to normal household sounds and enjoy playtime activities. All of our breeding girls and boys have had their hips and elbows scored and have clear heart and eye certificates. They are also DNA tested for PRA1, PRA2 and ICT-A.

Established in 2018 based in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast our beautiful dogs are part of our family and raised inside - we are all beach lovers and venture there daily for sand and sea adventures. Our GR's are X-rayed for Hip & Elbow Dysplasia, heart clearances, annual eye clearances and DNA tested for PRA1, PRA2 and ICT-A.
