My first Pointer was purchased in 1974, from working lines in Victoria. I have owned the breed ever since working them in the field and showing. My lines go back to old lines imported from UK, Denmark by Jack Pontin. I have imported a bitch from Sweden with Italian and Scandinavian lines. I now have a lovely Hi Point girl. I strive to keep good sound confirmation and working ability. I am also a Utility Field Trial judge. Puppies sometime available. We are proud to announce that Carrie - CH HiPoint Carrie and Charlie - AM CH SUP CH Solivia's St Croix (imp USA) is due to have puppies on the 12th April 2022.

We are based in the south west of WA. Our Pointers are our pets first and foremost, show dogs second. They spend their days running in a field or asleep on our couch. Atsira Kennels is a small English Pointer breeder, located in the beautiful Swan Valley of Western Australia. We have owned and shown English Pointers since 1979. We have had multiple Supreme Champions, Champions, Best of Breeds, Best in Group and Best in Shows. Our three Supreme Champions were Atsira Westpoint, Atsira Grant at Notting Hill and Atsira Serious Impact. Our lines are from Australia, the UK and New Zealand. We occasionally breed with an emphasis on temperament and improving our dogs in line with the breed standard.

After being involved and showing pointers for over 10 years, we finally welcome our first pointer litter to Makapoynt in 2024. Originating in German pointers, we find the English to be a lot softer and sweeter although our foundation girl Dora has been aptly named after the explorer she aspires to be!
