Shetland Sheepdog Breeders, East Gippsland VIC

The day after we moved into our first property we picked up our first Shetland sheepdog puppy. That was 35 years ago. We have been showing on and off since then and breeding for the last 30 years. We aim to breed healthy dogs conforming to the breed standard. Puppies are sometimes available to loving forever homes and are always vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed, VCA reg and eye tested.

I have been involved with Shetland Sheepdogs now for over 40 years. With limited showing and breeding, under my first prefix, Pinedel, I have bred and been successful showing and trialling my Shelties. After a break of over 13 years, in 2019, I returned to the wonderful world of the Shetland Sheepdog and I have recommenced showing and breeding this truly delightful breed. I established my new prefix RIVIERASHEL. In 2021, I was very privileged to purchase LOUANDA DOUBLE DELITE "" BARBIE "" from Karen and Sue Lishman. In 2021, Louanda Whispers In The Sand, "WHISPER" came into my life. I mated Whisper to the stunning A.Ch. Marruce The Illusionist which resulted in the arrival of my beautiful bitch RIVIERASHEL ELLE. In 2023, I repeated the mating and, my stunning young dog, RIVIERASHEL MAGIC BREW was born. I am forever grateful to my dear friends, Sue and Karen Lishman and Chris Sydenham for their friendship, support and guidance. All of my puppies are lovingly and carefully raised in my home with my family, all household noises and are very well socialised and have travelled in my car from six weeks old. My Shelties and my puppies are DNA tested for any heritable diseases, full health check by my Vet, eyes tested by a qualified Opthalmologist, vaccinated, wormed regularly and microchipped.
