Temperament is number one for us without compromising quality. Our puppies are from parents with good conformation and pedigrees. We are on acreage so puppies also get lots of exposure to the on goings of outdoors as well as being raised with our other shelties as a pack family. A sheltie is a working breed and they absolutely love having a job to do here which could be anything from coming for a run while we feed the ponies, rounding the kids up on their bikes or sneaking into their bedrooms for a cuddle at bed time. The sheltie really is such a wonderful versatile breed. We have received a lot of feedback from new owners on how well handled and socialised our puppies are which is always lovely to hear. We usually have a couple of litters per year and we welcome enquiries. No international enquiries please as we don't send our pups overseas.

The day after we moved into our first property we picked up our first Shetland sheepdog puppy. That was 35 years ago. We have been showing on and off since then and breeding for the last 30 years. We aim to breed healthy dogs conforming to the breed standard. Puppies are sometimes available to loving forever homes and are always vaccinated, micro-chipped, wormed, VCA reg and eye tested.

I have been involved with Shetland Sheepdogs now for over 40 years. With limited showing and breeding, under my first prefix, Pinedel, I have bred and been successful showing and trialling my Shelties. After a break of over 13 years, in 2019, I returned to the wonderful world of the Shetland Sheepdog and I have recommenced showing and breeding this truly delightful breed. I established my new prefix RIVIERASHEL. In 2021, I was very privileged to purchase LOUANDA DOUBLE DELITE "" BARBIE "" from Karen and Sue Lishman. In 2021, Louanda Whispers In The Sand, "WHISPER" came into my life. I mated Whisper to the stunning A.Ch. Marruce The Illusionist which resulted in the arrival of my beautiful bitch RIVIERASHEL ELLE. In 2023, I repeated the mating and, my stunning young dog, RIVIERASHEL MAGIC BREW was born. I am forever grateful to my dear friends, Sue and Karen Lishman and Chris Sydenham for their friendship, support and guidance. All of my puppies are lovingly and carefully raised in my home with my family, all household noises and are very well socialised and have travelled in my car from six weeks old. My Shelties and my puppies are DNA tested for any heritable diseases, full health check by my Vet, eyes tested by a qualified Opthalmologist, vaccinated, wormed regularly and microchipped. Bokay Shetland sheepdogs are located in Trafalgar in Gippsland Victoria. Home to two amazing beautiful Shetland sheepdogs that enjoy training at 2 obedience clubs. Heidi is a beautiful shaded sable and white and has gained her CCD title. Lacey is a gorgeous tricolour and white and has gained her Novice Tricks title. They both have now started Rally training which they love and have so much fun. They both have great potential for lots more fun loving achievements. Heidi is just over 2 years and Lacey is almost 2 years. I will have the very occasional litter. It is of high priority to consider temperament and excellence type in any litters that I breed. My two Shelties are bred from well known quality breeding lines of which I would like to maintain. Shelties are a beautiful,intelligent and smart breed that love to learn and please you. They can't get enough of you and love being with you where ever you are and being included as part of your family
