After several years of research and patience finally the gorgeous long coat puppy "Amando" has arrived. This is only the start of our endeavour to promote the WSS in QLD and Australia. Our foundation is being built on some of the top conformation and working lines in Europe with excellent temperaments, dark pigment and carrying both long and short coats. Plans are in the pipeline for a female to join "Mani" here later in 2011. All our dogs will be hip / elbow xrayed and DNA tested for MDR1 before any breeding plans are made. We are a small establishment on the ACT/NSW border. I have a passion for this breed since its inception, having previously owned White Shepherds and German Shepherd Dogs. It was shortly after the official recognition of the White Swiss Shepherd Dog that I commenced searching for my perfect foundation bitch and eventually imported our beloved Feeling Good du Bois des Ternes (Fanni) from Belgium in early 2011. From this start my love for this breed has soared. My family and I are fortunate to have approximately 10 acres for our dogs to enjoy. They have grown up with my children and are much loved family members. We have also been very fortunate with the temperament of our dogs and I strongly believe that good temperament is pivotal to successful breeding. My aim is to contribute to breed enhancement by focusing on priorities of temperament, health and conformation. I imported a stunning male JCH CR White Dream Glorious Lord of Roses (Hector) in late 2016 who has far exceeded all my expectations and enabled the planning and safe arrival of our second litter on 8 March this year (2018). Owecarose is a very small kennel located in Lewiston South Australia. Started with my foundation girl Melrose, CH Saffioraire Absinthe Minded who is no longer with us. In 2014 we imported semen from Germany. Devil of White Energy, an extremely sussessful working dog who has also had great success in the show ring and has produced exceptionally well. In 2015 we imported our very special Mr Parker Aust CH HJCH Eaglehawk of IceWine from Hungary. We could not be happier with our wonderful boy, he is all we were hoping for and more. Next was our beautiful Lauréate, Lauréate Du Flocon d'Argent (imp FRA) who we imported with our friends at Saffioraire Kennel in Victoria. We picked her up from quarantine with her tail wagging and it has not stopped since. As well as our imports we also have some amazing Aussie bred dogs who share our home and the homes of our dear family and friends. My aim is to produce dogs who are physically sound, have outstanding temperaments, are healthy and beautifully constructed. Dogs who will fit perfectly into any family situation as well as do well in showing or working disciplines. I brought my first Shepherd in 2012 which was a White Swiss Shepherd. I fell in love with the breed and decided i'd like to breed. I was lucky with our first girl as the breeder helped guide me through what i needed to do to become a breeder myself and i've loved every bit of it. Breeding is hard work and certainly not for everyone All our pups are raised in our family home which is on 24 acres of bush. They are born in our bedroom & then slowly get introduced to the outside world. once they are big enough they get to explore our large yard and then get introduced to our livestock on the farm. Once they are big enough they get to go on small walks around the farm to experience new things. They are well socialized with small dogs as well as large. They are raised with our 3 children. Our dogs are currently doing the Lure coursing which some quite enjoy it while others are doing conformation showing, agility & soon we start tracking soon as well. All our dogs are Hip & Elbow scored & also DM & MDR1, Hemophilia tested. After many years, and a few ups and downs, we finally started our journey in breeding WSSDs in 2022. We are ethical breeders and have been breeding for 12 years. Our pups are raised as part of the family with our 3 children. We live on a rural property where the dogs have plenty of area to run around. We participate in shows as well as do Lure coursing and have many titles. All of our dogs are hip & elbow scored & DNA tested (if any dogs fail Hip or elbows they are desexed so they cannot be used for breeding). Our pups are altered to ensure they cannot be used in puppy farming but also ensure they have their hormones for growth which is extremely important. They also come with lifetime support from us. We also take back any of our pups for any reason as we feel as breeders we are responsible for our pups for life and don't want to add to any rescues. Our dogs health and wellbeing is our number one priority.
